To shred a carrot, peel the carrot first. Next, cut off the top and bottom of the carrot.

Place the carrot on a cutting board and use a vegetable peeler to slice off some of the outer layer from the carrot.

Now it’s time to shred those carrots! Hold on to both ends of the peeled carrot and push your fingers into some of those really neat grates on your box grater.

Take that peeled carrot and start shredding away! You can shred your carrots all the way down to the core. Keep going until you have a nice pile of shredded carrots.

Now, if you want to chop some carrots, simply cut them into small pieces and then they’re ready for eating or cooking! Cut off the top and bottom portions of the carrot and discard those.

Now lay your carrot on the cutting board and make several slices across the width of your carrot. Make sure to slice them about 5 mm (1/4 inch) thick. To dice, simply cut each small rectangular piece into roughly square pieces!

So this is how to Shred Carrots.
