Materials for this projects are an art scissors, needle nose pliers, wire, flower clips, velum paper, craft foam sheets.

Start by cutting four to five inches of wire and take one end in the needle nose pliers.

The other end must be bent into a small loop. Bend the wire around the top of the stem of the flower till it reaches its pointy end then completely coil it around the stem.

Leave about two inches of wire sticking up from the top once you’re done coiling it.

Take another six inches of wire and cut it in half. Take the two ends, bend them inwards to create a U shape, then coil each end tightly.

Make sure that when you are coiling one end the other end is at the same spot on the stem with its pointy end peeking out between the coils.

Once you’re done with both, push the end of one coil into the loop you made at the top of your stem and then tighten it by pulling on its pointy end. Now, push the other coils up to make a straight line and secure them together with another flower clip.

Lastly, cut another piece of wire (about four inches long), fold it in half, bend it into a loop and put the pointed end through the loops of both coils. this way you’ve made two hooks to hold your votive.

You can use these same steps for making your hanger but instead of coiling wire around the top part of stem take another piece about six inches long and coil it only once.

Take your votive and push the hanger through the hole on top of it.

Now, take another piece of wire (about four inches long), fold it in half, bend it into a loop and put the pointed end through the loops of both coils. this way you’ve made two hooks to hold your votive. This will be your hanger.

Finally, attach the thread loop on top of votive with a metal hook for hanging. And that’s it! You’re done! Happy Crafting!

So this is how to make a Boutonniere.
