How to cook Salmon

To cook salmon, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place the salmon on a foil lined, rimmed baking sheet. Add salt, pepper, and any other spices to the top of the fish.

Pour either lemon juice or wine all over the top of the fish. You can also add butter or olive oil during this step if you want some added flavor.

Bake for about 20 minutes in your preheated oven for thinner pieces of fish, or up to 30 minutes for thicker pieces of salmon.

A cooking thermometer can be used to test the doneness of the fish. A typical serving size for salmon is a 3-ounce piece of fish, which is about half a traditional filet.
