Browsermetrics is anonymous usage data sent to Microsoft’s servers by the Edge browser, which is then utilized to fix crashes and issues.
In this quick tutorial I will show you how to disable Browsermetric in Microsoft Edge.
Let’s begin.
How to Disable Browsermetric in Microsoft Edge
Step 1: Go to your computer’s Registry Editor. To do so, go to the Start menu and type “Registry Editor” into the search box. Now, choose the app from the search results.
Step 2: Go to the following location in the Registry Editor:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge
Step 3: Right-click on the “Edge” folder and then New and then Key. Rename the file as “MetricsReportingEnabled“. Now you have to set the values 00000000 in there. For the changes to take effect, you’ll need to restart your Microsoft Edge browser.

Step 4: When the browser has reloaded again, type “edge:/policy” into the address bar and press enter. You’ll note that the “MetricsReportingEnabled” flag is set to ‘false.’

Step 5: That’s all there is to it! On your system, Browsermetrics has been disabled for Microsoft Edge.
