How to Permanently Block InPrivate Browsing in Microsoft Edge

Here are the steps:

Step 1: From your keyboard, press “Windows Logo key + R”. This will open the Run dialog box. Now type “regedit” and then click on the “OK” button.


Step 2: Now navigate to this path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft


Step 3: Now, you need to right click on Microsoft key, select New, and then select Key.


Step 4: You have to rename the newly created key as “Edge”. Now right click on the Edge key folder, and select “New” and select “DWORD (32-bit) Value”. Now rename this folder as “InPrivateModeAvailability”. Now double-click on the InPrivateModeAvailability folder, a new pop-up will appear where you have to change the value data to 1 and press “OK“. Now restart the computer to implement this change.


So this is how to disable InPrivate Browsing in Microsoft Edge.

In case you want to enable InPrivate Browsing again, then you have to go back through the whole process and change the InPrivateModeAvailability value data to “0”.
